Seattle Kraken HIFE Pride Beanie
The Seattle Kraken and One Roof Foundation are proud to celebrate Pride with a specialty merchandise line featuring the work of local artist Glynn Rosenberg!
Glynn Rosenberg (they/them) is a nonbinary local artist well-known for their incredible murals and design in Seattle. They designed the merchandise to include the use of symbols associated with the LGBTQ+ communities, ultimately conveying one message: that all people, regardless of sexual orientation, or gender identity, belong in the game of hockey.
In this Pride Beanie, the design utilizes the use of flowers to disrupt one's gender norms, combines softness and femininity with the strength found in the game of hockey. The hues of pink and blue reinterpret the colors of the trans flag. Budding roses represent the bright future for trans and nonbinary people. Alluding to the Kraken's deep sea home, the water imagery connects to the secrecy of queer identities.
